Library

Archway library, which is located at the bottom of Hamlyn House, is a wealth of knowledge for those looking for help with their studies or wishing to enjoy the latest novel, CD or DVD

The library runs popular friendly baby bounce and under 5s sessions, which are a great way to introduce them to books, reading and learning. Baby Bounce is on Mondays at 10.30am and Under-Fives sessions are on Thursdays at 11am. No booking is required.

Monday and Thursday during term-time from 4-7pm the library runs a homework club, where a dedicated tutor is available to help school children with their homework.

Free internet sessions are available on the library’s computers which can be booked for one hour per day. As this service is extremely popular, it is recommended that your phone up and book a computer in advance for later in the day or week.

The library stocks a good selection of DVD’s, allowing you to catch up missed programmes or see the latest film releases. TV series are available on loan for only £1 per week and the newest films are on offer for £2 per night.

Joining the library is free and easy and can be completed online or by completing a short form in person. Information on the library can be visited online through the Islington Council website. Here you can find out about special events such as the Summer Reading Challenge and browse the library’s catalogue in order to avoid disappointment and reserve the latest books.
