Hundreds of residents take part in Archway Community Safety Day

The Archway Community Safety Day organised by the Archway Town Centre Management Group brought together a variety of organisations who are involved in working to keep members of the public safe. Local residents came forward to seek advice on a range of issues, ranging from problems with anti social behaviour to keeping their property safe.  Hundreds of personal safety alarms, property marking pens, purse bells and oyster card holders with useful crime reporting numbers were given out to members of the public.


Information stands included: 

·         Junction Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team

·         Fire Service – signing people up to free home safety fire audits

·         Parks patrolling officers

·         Islington Community Safety Board

·         Trading standards -  information on avoiding common scams

·         Police Cycle task force – free bicycle marking

·         British Transport Police

·         Personal safety advisors with information on common concerns.
